Mesmerizing, amazing and beautiful, Aurelia the Moon Jellyfish, evokes a sense of tranquility bordering on a trance state which is reflected in our innovatively designed LED table lamp. Inspired by the astonishing underwater creature, the energy-efficient LED lamp offers a delight for not only your eyes, but also your sense of touch. While the table lamp has a three-way “touch ring” dimmer, the suspension has a two-way light switch for easy lighting adjustments. Glare is eliminated thanks to the LED’s small-size, making it possible to hide the LEDs in the center. The LED’s lighting direction allows the light to reflect directly on the inner shade’s strips which helps create the translucent ambience.
Inspiration: Mysterious and captivating, the glowing jellyfish always luminesces gently, like a moon in the dark sea. It allured our design team into conceptualizing a lamp that recreates the wonder of the radiant Aurelia. Collaborating again with Taiwan’s National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, we studied various life forms of jellyfish. It resulted in a design comparable to the jellyfish, both literally and figuratively. The transparent double acrylic shades resemble the airy body of the enchanting animal, creating a dreamy and irresistible charm. The changeable lighting effect also corresponds to the very essence of the ever-changing creature.
