Originally designed in 1946 by Ray and Charles Eames, this medium-sized radio is back with updated features for the modern age. Housed in an elegant molded walnut plywood case with anodized aluminum front and back panels, this midcentury modern gem from Vitra is updated with technology from the British manufacturer REVO.

The Eameses were striving to introduce smaller, more modern devices into the market: With its compact shape and spare, technical look, their radio design was unusual for its time. As a result, this particular Eames radio never went into production until now. The original design from 1946 has been augmented to include four small buttons in the middle and light gray front panel text. Available in a limited edition of 999, this rare design is a handsome collector’s item for fans of the Eameses’ work.
