The numerously awarded Random Shelf with back (Elle Decoration International Design Award 2006, Wallpaper Design Award Category Bookcase 2006, Design Week Award Category Furniture Design 2006, nominated for ADI Design Index 2006) was designed in 2006 by Neuland Design for MDF Italia.
The Random Shelf was the first of the Random Shelf series, that includes various shelf modules, which can be wonderfully combined to make up elegant shelve ensembles in your living room, bedroom, office, or hallway. Create your own Random library, by arranging multiple Random shelves by MDF.
The white lacquered Random Shelves are made up of 6 mm medium density wood fibre panels and a 10 mm thick melamine covering for the back. Unlike the Random 08 Shelf the original Random Shelf features a back cover.
The sizes for the individual shelves were chosen to offer as much space as possible for various different things, like books, files, magazines, CDs, etc.. The feet of the MDF Random Shelf are adjustable to guarantee absolute stability on any floor.
The MDF Random Shelf (height 216.3 cm, width 81.6 cm, depth 25 cm) is available in only one colour. For safety reasons, we advise you to fix your Random Shelf to the wall.
