UrbanPup dog clothes are generally measured by body length. This measurement is taken from the back of your dog’s body, starting from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.
If your dog has a stocky body (eg. Pugs) we recommend going up by at least one size in order for a comfy fit. Dogs like us humans come in all different shapes and sizes and in many cases their figure is not always in proportion to the length of their body.
Breed Guidelines (nb. this only a guide. For a good fit please measure your dog accurately)
X-Small (Dog Body Length: 8″ / 20cm). Breed Guide: Small Chihuahua, Small Breed Puppy
Small (Dog Body Length: 10″ / 25cm). Breed Guide: Chihuahua, Mini Yorkie
Medium (Dog Body Length: 12″ / 30cm). Breed Guide: Maltese, Pomeranian, Yorkie
Large (Dog Body Length: 14″ / 35cm). Breed Guide: Shih Tzu, Jack Russell, Pug
X-Large (Dog Body Length: 16″ / 40cm). Breed Guide: Westie, Bichon Frise, Lhasa Apso
