seconding this- I have no idea if sulphur is something pregnant people should avoid, but sulphur soap or sulphur cream treatments were the only thing that would destroy deep cystic acne whe I used to get them as a non pregnant person.
Edit: did a little research, looks like doctors say it's fine. I used to use this on my cysts overnight and it would bring them to the surface and make them less painful. it smells TERRIBLE but works great. like, I can not overstate how much this shit stinks. but it works.

No advise per se, but wanted to let you know I had nexplanon for about 1.5 years and it actually cleared my skin up. It drastically reduced my breakouts and severity, had some of the best skin of my life during that time!
Had it removed because it made me spot almost daily towards the end of it. But everyone reacts differently. you may have no issues, you may have several.

Leave it on for about 10 minutes then rinse off. Fotr me it goes one of two ways- Either I wake up the next morning with an almost flat pimple that isn't pop-able OR I wake up with a huge pimple that came to a head and have to play the 'try not to touch' thing. Now I am not a robot so when I do mess up and pop a pimple, I will immediatly put the sulfur on it and the swelling and redness is reduced after the application. So while it is a huge no-no I actually get better results with sulfur after a pimple comes to the surface, and if it hasn't the sulfur treatment tends to make it surface overnight..
Another option for a continuous treatment that I've had great success with is sulfur ointment. I've tried the De La Cruz sulfur ointment and the San Marcos version and love them both. This may be less irritating than using Head and Shoulders all the time. I use it as a mask nightly for 10 mins then wash it off and moisturize. It also gets rid of acne as well, so it's a two in one deal! And, the FA can't develop a resistance to sulfur.
I'm pretty sure I'm battling fungal acne, so I've gone back to only basics. I've added in an OTC antifungal cream twice daily, and just ordered this bar and this ointment. I plan to use the antifungal cream twice daily, and want to use the bar and ointment (as a wash off mask) a few times per week, I'm thinking Monday/Wednesday/Friday in the evenings. I'm not sure about the order of use, though. My current routine is:

I think the zinc bar is a fairly high pH, so I'm not sure if I should use it before or after my foaming cleanser. Or maybe in place of it on those nights? Any input is much appreciated!

I used it on my chin where I have a bunch of under-the-skin texture, so I couldn’t tell if the texture was just “coming to the surface” or if it was a reaction. Now, reading this, I realize how far off base I was. I didn’t realize it was supposed to smooth immediately or I would have caught on a lot sooner.
The kind I used I bought on Amazon and seems pretty generic. The bar soap with 3% salicylic acid works well on my skin and scalp (I have seborrheic dermatitis) so I’m surprised the ointment was so awful.

I could do without the "all natural" BS, but I picked this because it looked simple. I only tried it for the first time this morning though, so I can't provide any kind of real review. My only observation so far is that it was surprisingly not stinky at all.
This is probably a stupid question but I'm new to having a skin routine and the order of layering products confuses me a little- I found sulfur ointment REALLY helpful for acne and the product I use is like a mask (this stuff ) and it's most effective if I can leave it on for a couple hours but smells awful so I prefer using it at night and then washing it off in the morning. I also use a moisturizer at night. Should I be applying the moisturizer before or after the sulfur ointment? Does it matter? I don't want to counteract one with the other but I also don't want to not moisturize. Thank you!
