You don't mention your reason to want to use a clone console instead of a real snes. Price? Game Price vs Roms? Ability to play on an HDTV?

As far as I know at this point in time, there is no "good" snes clones, you'll get just as much input lag if not more then using one of the good PC emulator. There is some upcoming FPGA console that should supports snes, but at the price point it will be, a real SNES will be cheaper.

Edit: if you actually mean https://www.amazon.com/16-bit-Entertainment-System-Super-Nintendo/dp/B00QW2TBWS , never used it but I can give you an educated review.

It's crap. Shitty emulation, doesn't supports flash cart, shitty controller, the output are the same that are already possible with a real snes. Get a real Snes instead, cut the 2 plastic tab inside the cartridge slot if you need to play Super Famicom games (google it, real easy).

If you have enough money, get a decent CRT with Component input, and get the Component cable from HDRetrovision, best quality picture you'll get out a snes with no lag without having to go the PVM Sony Monitor/RGB route.

TL/DR: Clone console are either crap and for casual play or quite expensive (and unreleased atm). Real Snes on CRT is the way to go for speedrunning.

Reminds me of watching an episode of Fresh Off the Boat a month or two back. There's a brief shot of Eddie and his friends sitting on the floor, supposedly playing SNES, but the shape of the console is all wrong - I just couldn't help myself and rewound it to much eye-rolling from my wife.

Found a screenshot here - looks like they're using a "16-Bit Entertainment System", but what the hell is that Game Genie looking gold thing, and what's sticking out of the corner of the cartridge?
