I have PCOS and have been shaving my face for over 20 years; I can tell ya that safety razors are the way to go. That and a nice, slick shaving lotion/cream/soap. there's a bit of a learning curve (you will nick yourself, at first), but I'll never go back to reg razors. I watched a lotta "wet shaving" videos on YT and it helped a lot. Since the blade doesn't pivot, nor flex, ya gotta find the right angles.

In the past, I'd use a Mach3 and I'd have to plan a 45mins-1hr of time to let my face "settle down" from being sore, red, blotchy, and totally razor burned. I'd get little bumps and ingrown hairs in the hollows of my cheeks and corners of my chin; it was just a mess. I've been wet shaving for 5 years, now, and I can actually shave in under 5 mins, go out the door, and not have to worry about being irritated.

My current shaving setup:
Merkur 42C Safety Razor
Gillette Silver Blue blades
Kiss My Face Moisture Shave lotion

I have tons of suggestions/tips/products I could advise on, but don't wanna make this a novella. lol Feel free (or anyone else who wants to) send me a message and I'll gladly chew your ear off about all sorts of shaving stuffs. :)

> I was going to let my wife buy me the razor that Rick from Pawn Stars is endorsing,

I received that same razor for my birthday last year Micro touch one it was an unexpected gift after mentioning it in conversation with my dad one day.

I have nothing to compare it too, but it works great as far as I can tell. I didn't care for the blades that come with it, I got a sampler pack from Amazon, currently working my way through that, I also just ordered some Gilette silver blues

An electric shaver is quick and easy, however it will not give you a close shave.
I used to use Gillette fusion, they worked quite well. I recently switched to a double edge razor and it shaves so easy & so close I will never go back. I'm using this handle paired up with these blades. Works amazing for me with the added bonus of being much more cost effective, that's nice because I shave so much of my body. I would recommend it to anyone. I've seen people be weary of these being more difficult/dangerous but really it is no different from cartridges.

Try wandering over to /r/WickedEdge for a little more info and/or google DE (double edge) shaving.

Body hair, especially facial hair is a huge source of dysphoria and using this is the first time I've gotten a shave close enough I really deem it acceptable.

One big suggestion, whenever I "let things go" for a little bit I find knocking down the bulk of hair with beard trimmers then shaving makes a huge huge difference in how easy things go.
