I got mine pierced at 16g. Most stretching kits start with that size anyway. I'm currently at a 2g now and it took about a year to get there. They sell super cheap kits that are actually really good.

Great quality, only about 16 bucks, titanium tapers and plugs, from size 14g I think to 00g.

I bought mine when I started to stretch and saved lots of money not buying individual ones
