I bought a pack of the People Socks to replace my shredding Costcos from a year or two ago, they seem to be great so far.

Sierra Trading Post occasionally has Icebreaker, Smartwool and Woolrich socks for great deals. Pantharella as well. Just be wary of what you're ordering, a lot of companies make a "made for outlet" line that is garbage. Woolrich had ~85% polyester socks on sale last winter that they advertised as Ragg, which is technically correct, but it still sucked to wear those plastic ovens around for a few days before I realized.

Also, avoid RealTree. They're really thin and wear out really quickly. I've seen them posted here and have had nothing but poor experiences with the three packs I bought.

I would highly recommend looking at people's socks. The are Merino wool, make in Brooklyn NY, very thick, and comfy. They are also wayyyyyyyyyy cheaper than smart wool, 4 pairs for $20 but are just as good if not better.
