In college I carried around a power squid. Took care of the wall wart problem, though back in the day it was way more about charging laptops than iPhones. And this was back in the bad old days, when only Apple managed to get 4-5 hours of battery life (using PowerPC, no less!) and doing anything in the 2-3 hour range was great for Windows (of course, most of my friends were WoW players, which meant they were rocking laptops that got an hour forty five at best).

Actually, I kind of miss those days. Mostly because I miss having a majority of friends who live within walking distance and like going out.

BTW, the solution to this problem is a product like this. Allows you to plug in 5 items, no matter how big the transformer is, to a single outlet.

Or even something as simple as a set of 1 foot long extension cords

I got a few Belkin Pivot Strips recently. They have a lot of outlets and seem to work pretty well so far.

I really liked theQuirky Surge Protectors but I don't think they're made any more. One of my two just died on me.

I'm not a fan of the Power Squid. Takes up too much room.

I don't know if they would be needs because if it's something I need, I end up buying it for myself. These are things that would greatly improve the quality of my life, but I have a hard time justifying to myself that I deserve nice things:

The Fred and Friends Dish Wish Scrub Brush - I live with housemates who hardly ever do dishes. I don't want to become the person who does all the dishes (even though I don't hate doing dishes). With this brush, though, I'd be much happier doing them!
The Datexx The Miracle Cube Timer - Timers help me keep myself on task -- and something like this that would keep me productive (which is actually one of the things that help ease my depression).
