I personally have used Cod Liver Oil. I've had my Tegu (now 8 years old) go without pooping for a few weeks during his long sleeping periods. I would give him two good 20-30 minute warm water soaks every day and make sure his head and snout are always above the water. I'd stop feeding any whole-prey items like mice or chicks. I put a drop or 2 of the Cod Liver Oil in his turkey meat mix. Usually within a few days I see him at least trying to pass something and then within 1-2 weeks he starts pooping regularly. I stop giving the the Cod Liver Oil after he has passed some sizable masses. If you can rule out any impaction from consuming substrate or other things, then you'll probably be alright. If your Tegu is bloated and leaning to the side, then I'd just take it to the vet. Although, I have had my difficulties, my tegu has never got to that stage.
