Really good machine if you are unsure about investing into a chromeOS environment. I got mine last week and it is absolutely beast and built like a tank. I have a crap ton of tabs, spotify, etc open at the same time and doesn't even flinch. Handles 1080p like a champ and the screen is beautiful to look at.
Some times even below $200 for refurb. I picked one up for $185.
These, IMO, are easily the most valued computer thing you can buy. They look and feel like something way more expensive.

I've used a chromebook for most of the program. I didn't put linux on it, but instead created a workspace on cloud9 which is a web based IDE that runs on linux. I can see some issues with some classes like webdev, mobile/cloud, assembly, and probably a few more. I just got this one for my wife at 185. I like the screen and speakers a lot.
