I had a terrible time with my Gotcha popping out of its wristband. It fit fairly well, but sometimes I'd be taking off a backpack or something and the strap would pop it out. I lost 3 Gotcha's this way and when I bought my 4th, I decided that the wristband was a bad idea. Because it's in my pocket, I don't have to worry about it popping out as much, and even if it does it'll still be in my pocket. It's also more discreet - even with a black wristband I had so many people ask me if it was some sort of Fitbit knockoff.
I bought a black bracelet for my gotcha off of amazon. It's unobtrusive, and no more annoying than wearing a fitbit. If you want to protect it better, they do sell little keychain things that might make it a bit more bulky and easier to find in your pocket.
