Hi, I'm a regular lurker on /r/Catholicism. I was raised Catholic, fell from the Church as I got older, and now I would say I am wrestling with my beliefs. As a part of this, I've been reading and having a lot of conversations. I recently recorded a video podcast with a scholar of early Christianity and I just thought some people here might find it interesting or at least provocative (in a valuable way). While I cannot claim to be a good or proper Catholic, I am doing my best to think it through; and this conversation actually made me realize a few things that bring me a little closer to a proper Catholic position. I am curious to hear if anyone here has views on the theme of this book and/or the conversation in the video.

Edit: The author's name is Roman Montero and the book can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/All-Things-Common-Practices-Christians/dp/1532607911 A short synopsis of the book can be found here: https://libcom.org/history/early-christian-communists
