> but bring some ear protection

Yeah! Seriously! I use these for instance.

Hi yunoo! As a first time metal concert goer I think it's important to let you know that metal concerts are LOUD! So loud that they can induce temporary and/or permanent hearing damage. I highly recommend some musician grade ear protection. I use these but they don't have to be these, just something like them:

They don't muffle the sound, it's just like turning down the volume. Have fun at the show!

These Ear Plugs are what I use. I wore these through Miku Expo 2016 and a Grateful Dead Cover Band Show. I was able to get good fidelity and had no problems with tinnitus. Just gotta get the right colored piece in for the right show.

I only attend shows with protection nowadays. It sounds better, and is way more responsible :D

Even with rather cheap universal ones like the alpine I have.

It's probably not even important which ones you have. Just get some, it's worth it.

I used to have tinnitus for the rest of the evening and often the next day, and woke up with headaches. And now it's just like every other night. It's great, and I can't imagine life without them xD

I recently bought these one https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B00MEE876O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Pretty comfortable, I used them last time to the "Light this city" band concert (so pretty heavy music) with the low filter and it was a great experience.

I have this ones... You can change the filter if you want to which is really awesome. The only bad thing me and my mates found out is that if it rains heavily they slowly start to fall out of your ear

Has there been any merch at the shows yet?

Also, does anybody know if some earplugs like [these] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00MEE876O/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_wdv3xbB1GDR3R) would be any good?

personally I think the party plugs are too strong and make the music too quiet, also the sound gets too bass intense(because higher frequencies are filtered out more) imo
I have found the alpine musicsafe pro with white filter to be way better because they filter reasonably good for protection while the music still being loud enough(party plugs are like 21 db and the musicsafe white about 14 db) and also the frequencies filtered are more even (comapre the filter graphs of these)
Bonus: if its still too loud you can switch out the filters

I have bought and tried several plugs (including the party plugs) and those are the best so far.

Yep I've got some of them and also some of these. I won't go to a gig without them, once your hearing is damaged it'll never recover.

These are the ones I use; cheap, and effective. I use what is meant to be the lowest level of sound reduction and it was fine for whole band playing indoors, even when I was on the end of the circle next to the drummers.
