It looks like a screw base snapped off inside your laptop. I've seen those types in Lenovo laptops before. I've had good luck using Goop http://www.amazon.com/Amazing-All-Purpose-Household-3-7-Ounce-130012/dp/B0000A605I/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1415554235&sr=8-3&keywords=goop to reattach those posts. Just let it dry overnight before reassembling the laptop.

Thistothat recommends Household Goop.

I've repaired similar damage to EX250 fairings with poor man's fiberglass:

  • Cotton sheets
  • Goop / Shoe Goo

You can reinforce cracks or float in entire islands of broken pieces. Clean up the backside and rough it up a bit. Apply some glue directly. Soak a cotton patch in the glue and apply it. Continue with more patches in different orientations. Apply a final layer of glue. You may need to get creative with clamping forces for everything to set properly. Use waxed paper as necessary.

Goop. It's cheap and it works great for a permanent fix. Spread it thin, a little goes a long way. This stuff fixes so much crap it's just amazing, and it doesn't matter which "type" you buy - it's all the same shit.

You guys are amazing! thistothat.com recommends Household Goop (i.e., this stuff) for metal-to-leather bonds, but what the hell do I know? Thanks guys.

I suggest trying Household Goop or something very similar. It's a good, flexible sealant that I use for many purposes.

After cutting and filling the ball, I suggest scuffing the plastic near the hole with sandpaper and then cleaning the area with rubbing alcohol. Then apply a dab of Goop, moisten your finger with water, and they smooth out the sealant.

You will probably have better luck cutting a small "V" in the plastic rather than cutting a hole out of the material.

Just suggestions. I don't have specific experience but will soon.
