I make a protein smoothie every morning. Scoop of Sans Raw Brown rice protein ($50ish Amazon for 4lbs, 60 servings?), scoop of amazing greens super food ($25ish for 30 servings) coconut milk/kefir, a banana, frozen berries from traders joes ($3). Very filling and haven't gotten sick this "winter".

Any protein will really do. I used to buy the GNC stuff but didn't want too much diary in one sitting.

I've been using this one on subscribe and save which makes it $0.50 for a daily serving. Although I did find this one which seems higher quality, albeit more expensive. If anyone can recommend a better green powder that's not too expensive, I'd be willing to try it.

  • Apple or banana (for potassium. Coconut Water is nice too.)
  • Some almonds, cashews, or walnuts (protein, energy)
  • Some quick cooking oats RAW (if more than 30min before training)
  • A spoon of raw honey (energy)
  • Spoon of coconut oil (energy)
  • "Amazing Grass" (Good way to start day, and it forces me to wash it down with a ton of water.)

I don't eat everything on this list. It depends on my time, or how I'm feeling; but I tend to mix it up, and stick to things that are easily digestible and can be utilized efficiently.

Other than that, I personally don't like eating "meals" before workouts or training. That's why everything I eat tends to be light, simple, and serves a purpose for the workout. AFTER the workout/training, then it's time for MEAT!

    Edit Wording.

If coffee isn't cutting it for you, try this. I tried it because of another teacher's recommendation. It gives you a nice, consistent boost that lasts.

Maybe I just got tired of having to plan my weekday morning meals or got sick of eating/feeling like crap so I just started making smoothies with milk, banana, whey protein, cod liver oil, and and a scoop of green Superfood. It seems to hold me over just fine until lunch and I have yet to get sick of it. It's really the only actually beneficial nutrition I seem to get during the day.

when im on a health kick i drink amazing grass and the stuff is decent. i've always hated the taste of grass drinks but if you get the lemon lime version and mix it with a packet of the true lemon drink mix its kinda good in a weird way x.O

Superfood blends either based on greens (spirulina, wheat grass, chlorella, etc.) or reds (acai, grape, cranberry, cherry, etc.).

Green powder.

Red powder.

Just one example. Any green and red powder will do.

Personally, I use this 2x a day during periods of not wanting to eat veggies. I got the idea from T-Nation's Velocity Diet. I've tried other greens supplements and this was my favorite.

I must have these powder greens to go along with my carb reduced, protein and veggies rich diet. These contain a blend of like 54 vegetables and nutrients, are all natural, and will help me get my 5-8 servings of vegetables a day.

I came up with my screen name while browsing reddit while watching The Big Lebowski. It is the name of John Goodmans character.

Thanks for the contest

Wheatgrass powder. Very popular because it's so healthy. http://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Grass-SuperFood-Original-Servings/dp/B00112ILZM

Thanks for the response! Are those green powders similar to something like this
http://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Grass-SuperFood-Original-Servings/dp/B00112ILZM/ref=pd_sim_gro_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=07PP5820WNHRA4JH98F9

or are they something different that I could take alongside it. They seem pretty intense which is actually what I'm looking for, but I'm just trying to make sure I understand the spectrum of things I could be buying so I can cover it all.

u/socialgadfly420 · 1 pointr/kratom

you could consider buying some super greens mix powder (https://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Grass-Superfood-Original-Servings/dp/B00112ILZM/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1504018276&sr=8-3&keywords=super%2Bgreens%2Bpowder&th=1) and using the container to store the kratom in.

kratom and the green mix powder look virtually identical.

I use two tablespoon scoops. I mix it with 1 tsp of glutamine, 1 tsp of BCAA, and I also add a tablespoon of this green mix (https://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Grass-Superfood-Organic-Powder/dp/B00112ILZM/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1535984356&sr=8-3&keywords=green+mix) ..

I find if I shake it really hard and chug it, it isn't so miserable... but yeah, it does have that sandy consistency.

This might interest you - I add this green powder to my smoothies. You could probably take a smoothie recipe you already like, add a scoop of this and not even notice. It also tastes good mixed with Naked Juice (the green kind), but that stuff is high in sugar and calories.

I had this problem, so badly, starting when i turned 26 or so.... would wake up feeling horrible.
I eventually found it was due to my terrible diet. This helps the most i've found (I'm 31)

Drink this before bed,
https://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Grass-SuperFood-Original-Servings/dp/B00112ILZM/ref=sr_1_1_a_it/159-3345370-9700708?ie=UTF8&qid=1474343839&sr=8-1&keywords=amazing+grass

also take some sort of pro-biotic - like the "Go Live" brand stuff.

instead of amazing grass, you can eat an avacado instead.

Good luck man!

you do understand that those drinks aren't even healthy, they use "natural fructose" to sweeten it, a.k.a. a "healthier" name for high fructose corn syrup, which is the cheapest sweetener possible. and they use "ultra purified reverse osmosis water", you can have a fucking reverse osmosis water machine in your own house for less than a starter pack of verve. it's just a ground up vitamin (a shitty one at that) mixed with mangosteen, how much does one can cost? $3-4? the companies cost per can is probably about .50 cents, if even, and you're paying higher than retail for it, then YOU have to resell it.

you're getting scammed bro, nutrition facts don't add up to what you're paying for.

maybe you should look up the definition of a [Ponzi scheme](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponzi_scheme)

"A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to its investors from existing capital or new capital paid by new investors, rather than from profit earned by the individual or organization running the operation. Operators of Ponzi schemes usually entice new investors by offering higher returns (a fucking BMW) than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent. The perpetuation of the high returns requires an ever-increasing flow of money from new investors to sustain the scheme.

Wanna know what's gonna happen to vemma very soon?
Since the scheme requires a continual stream of investments to fund higher returns, once investment slows down, the scheme collapses as the promoter starts having problems paying the promised returns (the higher the returns, the greater the risk of the Ponzi scheme collapsing). Such liquidity crises often trigger panics, as more people start asking for their money, similar to a bank run.

also there is NO WAY there is 25.2g of mangosteen in there. this powder that I use http://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Grass-Superfood-8-5-Ounce-Container/dp/B00112ILZM, is 8 grams per serving. And that's a heaping scoop of powder, 25g in a 245ml bottle would be undrinkable.

You should get out while you can, or keep believing fake graphs and payouts, your choice.
