Life is almost perfect. The only thing that could improve... would be the ability to afford a wedding and not live paycheck to paycheck. The only way for me to improve my financial situation would be to promote and in order to promote any further at my job, I need a bachelors degree.   This is the story of how I got a big dent in my car less than a year after buying it. Ok, so his name is Augustus. He's a lovely blue Ford Focus (hatchback). He has less than 10k miles on him. As I was driving, looking for a spot, a rather large truck started backing out of her spot. I didn't have time to react, and neither did the driver of the truck. Here's a little story about me and Pokemon. I loved pokemon so much as a kid that I knew all the pokeraps at one point and could not stop talking about it. I had to work neighborhood jobs for a very, very long time so that I could save up for a gameboy and a pokemon game. When I finally walked to the swapmeet that one Saturday morning (I skipped cartoons for this) and finally bought a gameboy pocket (it was yellow), I was ecstatic. From there, I RAN to the nearest Target store and went straight to the video games section. I originally wanted Pokemon Blue but it was sold out. However, they did have Pokemon Red and there was a dragon on it! SWEET! I paid for it with my hard earned money, opened it up right there, and put it in and pressed on.... nothing happened. there were no batteries :( I rushed over and found the cheapest pack of batteries I could find and used my money I was saving for lunch that day to pay for it. NOW, I had batteries in the gameboy, pokemon red in the cartridge slot, and pressed on.. The word gameboy popped up, a little star flew by and it said Gamefreak, and then the pokemon music turned on, a gengar and a nidorino were fighting, and I cried. I cried so hard right at that moment because finally, finally after everything I had done, I could play Pokemon.

This is one of my most memorable gaming/pokemon memories and should give you an idea of how much I love both. Although I don't need it, I would really like Pokemon Y! Although I'm much older now, My love for pokemon hasn't changed.

If not, C'mon...gimme a $20 Amazon giftcard so I can get Animal Crossing: New Leaf and play that until pokemon comes out!

My favorite person with special needs is my friend's brother, Jeremy. He's an avid participant in the Special Olympics, usually track. The dedication he has to his events and the pure joy he gets out of it just for participating has taught me so much about how I should approach the little things in my life. It's hard to use the word "favorite" though because if I've learned anything from all my encounters with those with special needs it is that they're some of the best people on this earth. They're always so innocent and have never shown me anything but love.

One interesting fact about me is that I was born with a hole in my heart (and not a metaphorical one). Right now in my life I'm focusing on finishing my junior year of college and narrowing my choices of where to go for grad school.

I honestly really need a vacuum cleaner. Well, I guess "need" is a very strong word. I can live without a vacuum cleaner. But being as I am very OCD about cleanliness, it's tough not having one. Mine just died a few weeks ago. There is currently cat litter all over my house since we had to move two cat boxes into our dining room/kitchen area because our basement is being worked on. It's definitely not the worst thing in the world, and I've been trying to sweep it all the best I can but sweeping isn't quite as thorough as vacuuming, and it always leaves a lines of dust that just won't get into the dust pan. I'm not sure how to clean the carpets either besides just picking up the big stuff I see.

But since decent vacuum cleaners are super expensive, I am just asking for a little bit of help via a giftcard, so that I can purchase a decent vacuum. Even if it was just $1.00, anything helps. I wouldn't mind getting a cheap one, but the last one I had was from WalMart and I just bought it last year. Cheap ones don't seem to last very long, so I'm trying to invest in a pricier one.

As for stressful, I took Latin my freshman year in college and holy HELL did I not know what I was doing. I have to conjugate . . . everything?!? In my second semester we only did English to Latin and Latin to English translation using our limited vocabulary, mostly about Lucius in the forum, etc. The test, however, was comprised of exercises we'd never seen, and we suddenly had to translate, "In my grandfather's day, after dinner the women would clean and the men would go to the sitting room to drink and smoke their pipes." I did not do well on that test.

Hmm... this story is from when I was in elementary school and it was my teacher, so I'll be telling two stories, I just like this one. So I had just recently come back home from a surgery and was in school with either a cast or a brace on my leg, and I was a car rider. My ride was on the other side of the parking lot. So he picked me up and gave me a piggy-back ride to the car :D It was awesome c:

I love my job as a lifeguard, but sometimes it has its moments.

I had just started work as a guard at a new pool last summer and it was a normal day, super hot, the water looked really inviting and so on. Ha. I do stupid things all the time. The worst part is, is that the more I do them the worse I feel and the more stupid the things are that I do. Here's a story from work that happened recently. Here's the fruit story.

Get some popcorn, this is a long one! But worth it.

In a rush to get to work, and stay healthy, I brought a whole pound zip-lock bag full of cut-up fruit instead of just a small lunch portion. I got to work, saw that there was no room in our break room mini fridge, so I wandered over to our demonstrative area (I work at a grocery store with food demos) and paced my bag of fruit in the fridge there. At lunch, I enjoyed my fruit and put the rest back to bring home. 11 pm rolls around, I leave work and... I forgot my fruit in the demo fridge. No big deal, I worked the next day so I'll just get it then. Next day rolls around, I get to work, and go straight to the demo fridge.

I ask around, do you know what happened to my fruit? No one knows. Now, at this point of the story, you need to know that I have been at my job for almost 3 years. I was almost in tears. I felt so angry! That demo fridge has sodas and TONS of personal items from other employees! Why am I the short man out? Why does everyone else get away with shit?

Unsatisfied, I talked to another manager, upset about the favoritism, how my situation was dealt with, and how the whole damn thing was just unfair. He looks at me, unsure of how to deal with what is going on and says sorry. He has no clue why I am reacting like this, but with all the favoritism going on, I have been feeling very resentful, and this was the straw that broke the camels back.

I go, cry it off, and return to work. My second manager comes around after close and hands me a gift card he bought with his own money for 15 dollars and says here ya go. I feel so pathetic, so misunderstood, and so stupid about this whole situation. I look at the gift card and realize that everyone just think's im over reacting and I decide to just... shuddap, go home with my tail between my legs, and just let the whole thing die.

So, work is over and I head to the breakroom to gather my things to go home. A friend/coworkers is sifting about in the employee fridge looking for her meal leftovers to bring home, so she starts to pull things out...

...and she pulls out my bag of fruit. Jill had moved my fruit from the demo fridge to the employee fridge. I didn't even bother to check.

I sat down, holding the bag of fruit, feeling so stupid that I wish the earth would open up and swallow me whole. I had made THE BIGGEST DEAL OUT OF IT as a point! And all for nothing.

I have my second manager his giftcard back in the most awkward way possible and went home and collapsed into a puddle of "I want to die" on the couch.

I'm only now over it, and only about 4 months later can I speak t that manager without it being weird.

Anyway, WHY ON EARTH DID I DO THAT? I must've been out' my' mind.

Hello everyone.
I’m on day 17 of my streak (the longest in a long time) and I’ve experienced some small but very positive changes in my life already.
I want to achieve a longer streak. So, since I am a competitive person, I figured out that if I could turn NoFap into a challenge, I will try harder and probably have longer streaks. I have 2 Amazon gift cards sitting in my inbox that I haven’t redeemed yet: a 30$ one and a 50$ one and I’m ready to use them for my challenge.


Rules:

• Rule#1: Choose one of the gift cards (30$ or 50$)
  
• Rule#2: If you relapse, you send me half the amount of the gift card chosen (15$ or 25$)
  
• Rule#3: If I relapse, I send you the entire amount depending on your initial choice.
  
• Rule#4: Be honest to yourself and to me. This challenge is dependent on trust: you might relapse and still not send your part of the bet, and I would never know. I am personally 100% serious and honest about it: I could’ve redeemed my gift cards right now and bought anything I wanted. But this time I’m serious: I will try to do anything I can to stop relapsing; anything I can to change my life.
  So PLEASE be honest and take the decision to keep your word as gentlemen do before signing to this challenge.
  
  N.B: I can only do this challenge with 2 people obviously and will send them both the gift cards if I relapse.
