>funny that you use baseball as a comparison to league of legends.

I also used football. You kind of ignored the one that your points don't apply to.

The rest of your rant here is...really missing the point. And is based on basically your own imagination.

>compared to each other you cannot say which one is better than the other because they have different teams, they have different play styles.

As I've mentioned, over and over again. Stats are the starting point, not the ending point. We can learn a lot from looking at stats.

>. I think DL is one of the worst adcs

And I can say the Sun is blue and that's why the sky is blue. It doesn't make it true.

>If Turtle and Freeze switched places Freeze would have the best stats in NA and Turtle would have Mash like statistics.

Actually, this is almost certainly not true. If you read the actual OP, you will see why. Turtle's DPM is inflated while his Damage% and Gold% are likely deflated because of the team he plays on. Freeze has an artificially high KP, Damage%, and Gold% because of the team he plays on. Doublelift is actually doing the same thing for TSM that Freeze is doing for Renegades; Doublelift is just doing it better, partly because his team is better.

What would Freeze do on a good team? Well, his Damage%, Gold%, and KP would almost certainly nosedive. With competent players contributing, Freeze would certainly see those stats drop. In the case of Gold%, that would probably be a good thing. He would probably see a higher DPM, as he gets better protection and an improved ability to safely deal damage. His KP and Damage% would drop because he would be on a team where other people did things.

If you're actually interested in the concept of statistical analysis of team sports, I'd recommend this book. Dry read, but it covers the basics you seem to be struggling to grasp like dealing with uncertainty, confounding variables, and separating player effectiveness from team support.
