I'll give you that I was misinformed by my quick Google search concerning the OS versions that have been released. I'd forgotten about Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan, and Sierra. I'm a bit behind.

However, my same computer running on Leopard (an older OS) is selling on Amazon for $171 lowest price. It's worth a bit more than $50.

I think what really irks me is that we live in a disposable society. Why can't something that's good and works well not be considered junk just because there are newer versions out? Why must we toss out support for what is older simply because it's older? Sorry, Grandma, your Revolv smart home hub is now obsolete because the cloud service it's based on was shut down after it was purchased by Google, even though you bought it just a month before that happened.
