Do even more: Get yourself a bidet. Simple or fancy or something in between. It'll save the tush. Also, if you eat lightly the day before you start the cleanse, the whole thing goes easier. It's a lot of fuss over nothing and you get to avoid this type of cancer, at least.
At first I loved the wipes, but over time I realized I was sensitive to them. (I don’t normally have sensitive skin.)

Get a bidet attachment for your toilet! We had one of these pre-pregnancy and it has been a huge lifesaver with all the pooping problems. I put it in bc my SO used to shower after every poop to feel clean, so I figured it would save water. Now I hate pooping in the other bathroom without the water to wash off after. It will change your life!!!

I got a barebones hose attachment off Amazon for ~$40 last December, and it's been great! As /u/Jennjersnap said, there's definitely a learning curve involved. The hose attachment I have is cold water only and is surprisingly not that bad even during the winter; you may go numb depending on the water temperature, but it does not compare to having cold water down your spine. FWIW, I still use 1 square of TP after rinsing up from #2 to be sure of thoroughness (and flush after #2 before rinsing). Other than that, I just try to aim well enough to not get more wet than necessary, and manage to dry off just fine by putting on clothes. My roommate who uses the bidet dries off with tp, but claims to still use less than before having the bidet.

If you or anyone in your household has mobility issues, I would suggest the style that sits inside the toilet bowl, though I have no experience with them. If you go this route, make sure to get one that has a "guard" that covers the spout when not in use to avoid contamination. Otherwise I believe the hoses are cheaper, generally more durable (make sure to turn them off at the source to avoid flooding!), and have more flexibility in use-- I've even used them to powerwash the bathtub, and they're often used for cloth diaper cleaning.

The best general tip I have is to check diagrams of how the bidet in question is supposed to be angled, cleaned, and otherwise maintained.

I have a Toto C100 at home. You might consider it pricey, but it is well worth the money.
Most don't require electricity. This one, for example. This one is slightly nicer and also requires no electricity. There are also hand sprayer models: I opened the wall and plumbed mine to both the hot and cold so I can wash my ass with warm water. This one just tees off the toilet supply line.
Trust me. Best 40$ I've spent on Amazon.... already paid for itself in reduced toilet paper use...
