I used the Aquaphor Advanced Therapy Healing Ointment!
Should be at any drug store, Walmart, etc. sometimes it's with the lotion. Sometimes it's with baby stuff. Sometimes it with like petroleum jelly. Honestly, I think it's a miracle in a jar/tube. I use it for chapped skin in the winter, I've been putting a bit on my face at night and when I wake up it has reduced my pores and moisturizer my skin/minimized acne etc.
Between all the various listings you'll find hundreds of good reviews for it on amazon for all kinds of things.

I can verify this with info from a recent dermatologist visit.
tl;dr: Had duper-dry hands, he recommended soak them in water (eg take a shower) then put on Aquaphor Healing Ointment to trap the moisture in overnight. It friggin works.
Keep in mind not all lotions/creams/etc actually trap moisture in your skin. Some try to be stop-gaps during the day (little to no oils so you can use your hands for normal stuff, but still rehydrates a bit, has vitamins, etc, and gets you through the day)
It is this stuff, it is originally designed for mothers who are nursing or have tearing after giving birth, I think, and it was actually recommended to me by the esthetician who was giving me a bikini wax. I have incredibly sensitive skin and this stuff works wonders.
I think so! This is what I use, except I get it in a tube.
