Do you take all 6mg at once? Just curious because I'm going to start experimenting when I'm having terrible days. I posted this in the wrong spot.

Thank you for the advice. I currently take bentonite clay but just talked to my doctor about switching to charcoal. The issue is it absorbs supplements and meds as well, so it's hard to find a great time to take it (especially if you need it multiple/many times a day). I'm on colloidal silver and am soon going on Atrantil as well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N9O0RGT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_lzxvzb6KY53K2
If this regimen doesn't help I'll absolutely consider your suggestions with my doctor. Rifaximin was a massive failure, Wormwood complex (MediHerb) didn't do enough, and I couldn't tolerate grapefruit seed extract. The fun world of natural antibiotics!! Glad someone else here knows about them.

I was trying to make a point about loperamide deficiency. Let me elaborate. If your IBS is "cured" by loperamide, it wasn't because you had a loperamide deficiency. If your symptoms return on a loperamide break, it isn't because you became deficient in loperamide. It's a bandaid that covers up an underlying motility issue that could have countless drivers. I'm not against loperamide but as primary treatment I'm personally not a fan.
