It prorates food per hour. I have 5 cats, each one wears a collar tag which opens the feeder for their allotted time per hour. Once they've eaten their allotment, the doors close. Keeps them fed - and on a diet if need be. Pricey, but worth it.

arg nvm, this doesn't portion control exactly & she'll learn to open that up for an endless supply. Back to the crate idea!
