My son was this same age last year so I'll chime in.

High chair if you don't have one already
Portable high chair if don't have already
All things feeding as others have said. I really like the Bapron bibs because by 1 year my son was ripping off the others!
Stacking cups (Seriously, the $2 on Amazon are the best toy)
Board books with flaps
Baby proofing items/gates
Clothes in the next size
If you have hard floors in the area you play a lot - we got a mat like this for our living room and it's one of the best purchases for us. When baby started planking/crawling/scooting, it was a nice soft area and we are so, so happy we have it now!
We got a nice Woolino sleep sack last year after I got sick of buying new Halo's every other month. It still fits great this year and I only wish we had done the buy 2 get 30% or whatever deal because when he used to wet through or like last night when he puked, having a clean one ready to go would be nice!

We used this kind, but a different pattern. We paid less than this price, but was reversible so we could use in our living room in between kids and even after kids.

We bought This mat. It’s expensive but really nice and thick and easy to clean. The tiles trap crumbs and dirt between the tiles and our kids were constantly pulling them apart and throwing them making a huge mess. They are also harder to clean. So if you can afford it and don’t mind spending the money, this mat is reversible, high quality, and awesome!
