Magic Merlin Sleep Suit! They feel snug like they are in a swaddle, but they can't roll over in it. It has different sizes and age transitions.

I don't want to jinx anything whatsoever, but M took the longest naps yesterday that she has taken in nearly two weeks. And she took them in her crib. Still fought sleep a bit, but settled fairly quickly. All it took was whatever voodoo they put on the Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit. She took a 45 minute nap and an hour long nap, when they'd turned to 20 minute naps at best lately! We didn't try it at night because I'm afraid of making her reliant on the sleepsuit, but here's to hoping for better naps again today.

In other news, please send good vibes my way again. I found out last night that I have a callback interview with the firm I interviewed for 2.5 weeks ago. I thought they'd forgotten about me. I reaaaaaally need this to work out, so come on universe, show up!

My wife and I just transitioned our 4 month old daughter from swaddle to the Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit. We need to build up more data, but based on the limited usage it's worked out considerably well. This may not be the answer you wanted, as it is another item to buy and eventually transition out of again, but we've been happy with it, especially since we're getting more sleep. Full disclosure, we've only been using it two days but we have seen markedly improved nap and nighttime sleep already. She still has a strong moro reflex that would constantly wake her up when unswaddled. The sleepsuit virtually fixes the issue, allowing range of movement but still limited enough not to wake her.

If this is a option you can take, you should. I've only ever heard good things. Parents really think that it's magic. A friend of mine used it on her son when she started to go crazy from lack of sleep and she's had many full nights of sleep since then.

We bought one of these magic sleep suits. They really have been magic for us. In fact, we just bought the next size up because when I tried him without the one he was outgrowing, he was awake in twenty minutes. With the suit he will only wake up once or twice a night to eat (4.5 months EBF).

Out of curiosity is your daughter swaddled still or in a sleep sack or anything? My girl just went through this regression. Was sleeping through the night but suddenly was really squirmy and woke up tons during the night. Terrible napper. Everything. I realized she was just too big and strong for the swaddle but not quite ready for just a sleep sack. I got this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KHZPH74/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It has worked amazing! She is back to sleeping through the night 8:30p to 7a roughly and is now napping in her crib exclusively for at least one hour stints. She's also starting to fall asleep on her own and self sooth. I'm not saying it's guaranteed to work because every kid is different. But it's worth a shot and you can always return it if it doesn't work for you.

My kid always broke out of the swaddle. At 2 months he was transitioned out of a swaddle to zipper swaddle that keeps his arms up and then a sleep suit at around 4 months.

Maybe he'd do better swaddled and in a swing? If you're not comfortable swaddling, there's also a sleep-suit that feels just a little bit tight on them (makes them look like the michelin-man) that can help comfort them. here

I don't know the age/size of your LO, but we wouldn't have gotten naps down at ALL if it weren't for the Magic Merlin Sleep Suit. We only got about 2 weeks out of it before baby learned to wiggle out (and then flip over!), but IMO that's what kickstarted our nap routine. Bedtimes is a different story :)

Worth the cost, for us, anyway. You might also be able to find it used.
