Davis created the Raiders, wearing silver and black, compared to the other owners he was a renegade who was fine with telling people to fuck off when necessary. He hated the league to a fault; suing them (twice), moving his team because he wanted too (twice), had a relatively short temper with coaches and fired them in--how the kids say--savage ways (see Lane Kiffin). He was confrontational and ruthless and basically epitomized the Raiders.
He wore black leather jackets, tracksuits, and shades. Fiercely loyal to the silver and black and its players. He was about as different as you could be when you look at him as an NFL owner, for better or for worse.
Basically, he was a badass in charge of a group known to be badasses. He also looked sort of like Lucifer near the end.
