Actually I did.
Back in 2018 I went vegan/pescetarian and went from 174 to 165 in the span of 3 mos with no exercise. Without counting calories and just had potatoes, veggies, instant noodles with fish occasionally. I started exercising again that April just doing cardio.

This worked for a couple of months but then that stopped working. I also went on a trip to Japan back in October and gained 4lbs hovering at 169/170 for a couple of months and ditched the pescetatian/vegan life style temporarily.

Last time I weighed 169 was in February after hanging out in Colorado and once again..I know I didn't break 1200 calories since I would just eat a protein shake for breakfast, a pack of instant noodles, and fish jerky (plus I walked a lot up and down the mountains for 4 days straight so..def lost some weight there).

I always worked out for the past 2 years, but didn't count calories and just did my best to not eat anything after 7pm.

So I know its expected to gain 2-3lbs when you start a new exercise which I did, but I just don't see the whoosh yet, and a part of me doesn't want to go back to eating under 1400 calories again.

So I'm no longer 100%vegan (but I don't do dairy) and eat chicken/beef/pork again but usually I am just eating chicken. And as I mentioned to the other poster above, I weigh my food with this scale [I do weigh my food actually. I use this scale
And when I have my cheat days, the most I eat is 1600-1800, but last week I ate 2005 calories and had crossfit 1hr session + swam for 1 hour and jogged 30mins. Next morning I weighed 172.3 but once I went back to cutting maintenance 1422 and took a rest day I went back up to 174 the next day.

My thyroid levels are fine along with everything else, however my mother does have a thyroid issue that was hard to diagnose and that affected her weight loss too.
