Reddit reviews Basic ROBLOX Lua Programming

I should really make a copypasta of this... anyway:

If you know next to nothing about programming:

go to your local library and find a book about beginner programming, or anything that will get you to understand the logic required to code. I got myself "Teach yourself beginner programming in 24 hours", Honestly, I didn't read it all the way through :p

Anyway, after you familiarized yourself with how computers work, time to switch gears into roblox's lua. I found these two books 1 2 to be very helpful. Both I read and enjoyed. After reading these I worked on small models for practice ^see ^them ^here I also browsed the scripting helpers section and tried to help people out there, if I found something I didn't quite understand, I went to google and simply googled what I wanted to know (example: Roblox Remote Functions) and went to the wiki page.

After I knew a broader variety of scripting concepts, I made a small game, as I learned, I started working on a more complex one, and I still haven't finished it yet :p
