Your jewelry making makes me want to get into it more :P I'm starting to get into it, but I'm starting with chainmail (which might be a difficult place to start xD). I'm being encouraged because I have many people in my life who play DnD and want to wear chainmail while they play xD
Any pictures to help us help you? It's hard to know what you mean by having the earrings 'hang right' without some sort of reference.
If you're already doing assembly line style construction there isn't any way to really do it faster. I mean opening and closing a pair of jump rings takes a couple of seconds max, so I'm unsure if that's something you can shave time off of. Are you using one of these things with your jump rings?
