There's a great book I started reading (but don't think I finished?) called "Bearing Right: How Conservatives Won the Abortion War", and it had a very interesting premise, if I recall, about how certain messaging can win over conservatives to support pro-choice policies, but that it tends to fuck us over in the long-term, and the question of whether it's worthwhile to invest in that rhetoric/those strategies for short-term gains, or not.
