I have this one. But anything with a rigid neckline like this is good, then you can see baby and the blanket isn't like smothering them, and they can see you. Also it's big enough that when baby tries to throw it off it still covers me.

I'm not Muslim, but even though I would breastfeed in public (usually with a cover up) in front of strangers I didn't feel comfortable breastfeeding in front of my male family members. If at home, I'd just go to the nursery to breastfeed. If not at home, I'd ask the host if there was a room I could use. If out in public with no private space to nurse, I just used the cover up and didn't make a big deal of it. However there's always the car. I think it is awesome when people are comfortable nursing anywhere in front of anyone without a cover up and it never bothered me when someone else did it, but I also understand not being comfortable with it and I think it is totally okay to go find a private place or cover up. Some babies hate covers, but my baby actually seemed to like it fine. I had this cover where you can see baby and it also allows some airflow. I think this style of cover really helps keep baby happy with being covered.
