Rant: Despite me having gone through almost 3 bottles and already having a backup on hand, I think I've come to the conclusion that The Ordinary's Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA clogs my pores. :(

Also, now that I've received both The Ordinary Serum foundation and the Coverage foundation (my intention was to mix/compare them), I do not like and do not recommend either. I love high end and drugstore foundations and Wet n' Wild's $4.99 Photofocus foundation is worlds better. Save yourself some money.

Rave: I love AB products and for some reason really haven't tried any Benton. However I received this full-sized Benton Aloe BHA toner in an AB subscription box and I'm head over heels in love. I always dismissed .5% BHAs as ineffective for my stubborn skin but this product is quickly becoming a holy grail.

Heard good things about the Some By Mi AHA/BHA/PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner. There's also COSRX, and the Benton Aloe BHA Toner. Another option is to use an oil cleanser like the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil.

I need help with my routine! I'm getting married in less than 4 months and I want my skin to be the best it can be. I have combination/oily/acne skin. Here's my current routine:

AM:

-Cleanser ( 30% Castor oil, 70% sunflower oil )

- Toner Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner

- The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

- Moisturizer SKEDERM EXHYDRO

PM

-Cleanser ( 30% Castor oil, 70% sunflower oil )

- Toner Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner

- The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

- Curology ( .018% Tretinoin, 1% Clindamycin, 8% Azelaic Acid)

-Rosehip oil

- Moisturizer Medicine Mama's Apothecary Sweet Bee Magic

I still break out occasionally and get the occasional cyst zit. My skin texture isn't as soft as I'd like. I'm thinking about adding some sort of vitamin c in there but I don't know what kind or where I should put it into my routine. Let me know if there's anything I can improve!

Maybe this is a silly question, but do you wear makeup at all? Many bb/cc-creams or foundations/concealers will minimize redness (depending on coverage goals) -- I've heard good things about IT Cosmetics "Bye Bye Redness" line, though it's not super cheap -- but I imagine there are drugstore alternatives.

Skincare wise, I find aloe to be soothing -- I use this toner after shaving, and also really like this moisturizer (if you end up saving for laser, I find it to be really soothing after that too, or sunburns in the summer!).

I'm also testing this one now to see which does a better job for me. Currently it looks like the other one is better suited, I have another week or so trial before I make my decision.
