I see your point, but I just can't get worked up about this. It's so obviously hyperbole. And some of these products are so, so awful (a catologue with dog heads, what?)
This is also how women make fun of "for her" products. Like those pens I mentioned earlier. "Can these pens write math?" "Yes, but not correctly. Send your daughter to beauty school instead." Or from men, "They have their own pens, what's next, voting and talking back?" "Got these for my wife. They didn't help her make sandwiches at all. Do not recommend." Like, that's just how people make fun of products.
