Cameras are so cheap now it's worth getting real ones for peace of mind. You can get a Blint XT2 2-camera kit for $180 regular price but I've seen them as low as $100 for two on sale. They're completely wireless so you just screw them in, set up the app, and call it a day.

I have 3 security cameras, a wireless RING 2 video doorbell, which I highly recommend, as soon as someone is close to your door it records them and you get a notification on your phone and can view and speak with them in real time via 2-way speaker, there is a cost of $2.50 per month for their cloud service, outside in the back yard I have a BLINK XT2, this is a great camera because it's wireless, runs on batteries and has a lot of versatility, also sends instant notifications as soon as someone is detected, the newest version has a 2 way speaker, there is no charge for their cloud service. Lastly inside my house I have the Amazon Cloud Cam, no charge for cloud storage, 2 way speaker and instant notifications as well. All 3 of these camera's are great.

I just saw the articles about Amazon's Blink XT2 today. I am considering to buy it myself.

Thank you, my friend, I will consider it. It becomes quite expensive when you add the Alexa too, I currently have Android mobile devices and a Mac, so would need this too.

I don't know if it's also worth mentioning that something more discreet would be good. So if someone breaks in, they don't know that it's there.
