Keep in mind that it's not a novel, but a graphic novel! 馃帀
I can't find Annie, but here's Blue is the Warmest Color (The French version is here) and Here's the first volume of Whiteout.
there seems to be one set to be released on October.
Being published in North America this October
Blue is the Warmest Color is a wonderful lesbian Graphic Novel.
Perks of being a Wallflower has queer themes, even though it does not have a queer main charater.
It's based on this graphic novel by an actual lesbian so that gives me hope
Of course I have. I've read the comic, too.
I think it's a good movie in it's own right about young romance and heartbreak. My only personal annoyances were the extreme closeups of their faces as they were eating messy foods, and the 7 minute sex scene. Granted, I didn't have a problem with that until I read a few articles about how extremely uncomfortable the two actresses were during filming.
But sure. Otherwise, good movie. And I'm pretty sure you can check it out on Netflix if you've got it.
I think the film is currently on Netflix. It's okay, but the graphic novel is much better. I recommend reading it in paper format. Amazon has it used for a very reasonable price. :)
Make sure you read the graphic novel! The author is a friend of mine, so this is totally partial, but it has received a lot of acclaim: http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Warmest-Color-Julie-Maroh/dp/1551525143
