I had a different experience. I bought almost 10 things yesterday, camel-ed every single one and they were at the lowest or 2nd lowest price point. I guess it depends on what you were looking to buy.

EDIT: I'm a big believer that you should see both sides of the story. Here is the evidence for my experience.

Fire Tablet, 7" Display, Wi-Fi, 16 GB - Includes Special Offers, Black

u/Grrym · 8 pointsr/KitchenConfidential

Bought this 6 months ago and never looked back. It says 24 hour battery life, but as long as you top it up once a shift it lasts forever.

u/SomeRandomMax · 6 pointsr/amazonecho

I'll second Anker, though I have this one instead. It has great sound, great range, and outstanding battery life.

u/mschultze97 · 6 pointsr/minimalism

While I recommend both the Anker Soundcore Bluetooth Speaker as well as the Amazon Basics Bluetooth Speaker for their portability and sound, I personally prefer the former for its much fuller sound. (Both links show the black version of the device, although both come in different colors).

u/verblox · 5 pointsr/therewasanattempt

I'm pretty happy with my $25 Anker.

u/Erinescence · 5 pointsr/amazonecho

The Anker Soundcore is a pretty solid little speaker, though if you're an audiophile you won't love it for music. I have one of these and mainly use it for podcasts and the occasional phone call, but it's not bad for music. It has insane battery life (more than 24 hours) but you can also use it plugged in. Connects via BT or aux cable.

u/safety3rd · 5 pointsr/BuyItForLife

this one is the one we have.

u/im_a_fancy_man · 3 pointsr/battlestations

I got kicked out of /r/CableManagement even tho some people liked it there. Original Post

Even though I buy and build PC's for a living, I don't have a fancy water cooled setup at home. But this is my desk, it gets the job done. I recently cleaned up all the cables so thought some people would enjoy that. I could have hid the power cable but I don't like tying those up.

Ready for the cool part? This is an Ikea desk, firs thing I did was threw out all the hardware and used velcro to fasten the legs to the desk. Zero issues for 6+ months. The parts from Ikea I used were:

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50106773/ ($100) https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90252908/ ($119)

I used zip ties + velcro ties to fasten the cables and a small speaker under the desk.

The monitor arm I use is good old Vivo from Amazon for $29..I've been using these for probably 4-5 years, and have purchased about a dozen of them.

https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Monitor-Adjustable-Screens-STAND-V002/dp/B009S750LA

This is the speaker that is zipped under the desk:

https://www.amazon.com/Anker-SoundCore-Bluetooth-Dual-Driver-Distortion/dp/B016XTADG2 ($29)

The PC is self-built. Its a generic Mini ATX case, 6th gen i7, 16GB of Corsair 2400, a 128 Patriot SSD and a 2TB HDD, it also has an EVGA 1070 video card which is really overkill for what I do.

Last cool part - the case is equipped with a 5.25" "drawer" in place of DVD drive. Perfect for spare USB drives, a few pens, etc to keep the desk clean.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AVSSKOE/ ($10)

I don't think $50 is going to get you anything ceiling-mounted and powerful enough to cover a regular classroom, even with the fanciest little speaker you can get at that price range. That said, if the projector has USB ports to keep it charged, I have good experiences with this model in terms of sound quality and volume:

https://www.amazon.com/Anker-SoundCore-Bluetooth-Dual-Driver-Distortion/dp/B016XTADG2

But once again, this isn't really a problem you can sufficiently fix for $50. We use these in a classroom setting:

https://www.amazon.com/Anchor-Audio-AN-130-Speaker-Monitor/dp/B000YYVVN2

They sell ceiling mount brackets for them as well and have excellent coverage. Just make sure you have accessible power plugs near the mounting tile.

Anker soundcore is pretty decent for the money

u/malren · 3 pointsr/amazonecho

I love this one. It came up once at $30 on sale. For that price it's perfect. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B016XTADG2

u/archaegeo · 2 pointsr/amazonecho

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016XTADG2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Works, awesome, 24hr playtime so have to charge it about 1x a week so far, depending on use.

u/Weird_With_A_Beard · 2 pointsr/amazonecho

The speaker is not great. That's the main difference between the Dot and the much more expensive Echo. I use this Bluetooth speaker.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016XTADG2

I actually have 2 of these on 2 separate Dots in the house.

u/adderrson · 2 pointsr/dropmix

Personally I'd recommend the anker soundcore, it's a great value portable bluetooth speaker with punchy bass (for it's small form factor) and up to 24 hours of battery life to a charge for about $25

I can definitely vouch for Anker as bluetooth speakers!!! I personally have this one and LOVE it and its incredible battery

u/GraysInsanity · 2 pointsr/BuyItForLife

Try Amazon basic speakers or Anker ones. Definitely not bifl, but are of decent quality compared to cheap Chinese ones.

I think you can get pretty much any that are good. Here's a high rated Anker speaker: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-SoundCore-Bluetooth-Dual-Driver-Distortion/dp/B016XTADG2

u/Sisco-Kid · 2 pointsr/Machinists

I have this one and have zero complaints. Sounds good and gets loud enough I can hear over my machines. Battery life is impressive as well.

This Anker speaker is a pretty impressive rechargeable wireless Bluetooth speaker for $33

http://www.amazon.com/Anker-SoundCore-Dual-Driver-Incredible-Microphone/dp/B016XTADG2/ref=sr_1_50?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1458007808&sr=1-50&keywords=bluetooth+speaker

Not super bass heavy, so it wouldn't be an awful choice for production. There are $80-100 powered studio monitors that will give you a flatter sound more ideal for mixing, but you will have to deal with wires and connections etc.

u/BlueAppleseed · 2 pointsr/gadgets

I'm not an expert on bluetooth speakers, but the Anker SoundCore Bluetooth Speaker seems like it would work for you::
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016XTADG2/

u/3sleeves · 2 pointsr/OP1users

I got one of these Anker speakers for someone recently and it bumps! Plus it has a 24 hour battery!

I'll be replacing my current Photive speaker very soon probably...doesn't have as much low end as the Anker and the battery only lasts about 7 to 8 hours max. It is waterproof though and sounds great in the shower!

u/awolfoutwest · 2 pointsr/amazonecho

I don't see how you can do better than the Anker SoundCore. ~$26 and 24-hour battery life. It will power off if I remove the Bluetooth source, but otherwise stays active. Not sure if aux cable keeps it alive.

u/CityOfChamps09 · 1 pointr/AdviceAnimals

I have this one and it's fucking amazing. Bought it for my hotel room in Vegas last year and it was a great thing to have. Anker in general makes very good products.

Also used it in my Uhaul when moving with Spotify, which you can download music onto your phone so it doesn't stream data. Perfect.

u/Jeade-en · 1 pointr/gadgets

Hoping to get some help with portable bluetooth speakers. I bought one of these from Anker, and it's great except for one really annoying thing. It can only remember one bluetooth pairing profile. So, if I want to switch from my phone to my wife's phone, or the iPad, or whatever, I have to clear its bluetooth memory, go into pairing mode, and pair to the new device.

I like the size, the sound quality, the battery life, the brand (I have other Anker products that I love), but I want it to be able to remember multiple devices pairings so switching is simple. Searching for that specific feature on amazon has been difficult, so I'm hoping I can get some recommendations. Thanks!

u/joshparr · 1 pointr/Arcade1Up

I ended using this Anker Soundcore I had laying around, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016XTADG2/, and mounted it on top. Using one of the extra USB power adapters I have and run it up through the hole in the back so it always has power and use the 3.5 jack on the Pi for sound. Worked out really well so far.

u/JD_85 · 1 pointr/Moto_Z

I only played with one in the store, but was able to get it to full volume and it didn't seem worth it. I bought a Bluetooth speaker instead for 35 since I can use it for anything, not just a moto z.

u/raduque · 1 pointr/Bluetooth_Speakers

probably too big. Maybe something more like this
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Portable-Wireless-Bluetooth-Powerful/dp/B00GZC35YK which is a 2.5 or 3" square, or the SoundCore

u/hellafiedjoe · 1 pointr/audio

Dope! I def think you should get an “Ankor Soundcore.” Heard really good things from people with this speaker, very durable, quality company, and affordable! Not worth getting one above $50 if your gonna bring it to work. Don’t want to risk it getting damaged, or even stolenankor soundcore (amazon)

u/dunbarose · 1 pointr/DnD

What about something like this that's only about $30USD??

u/aramblingmind · 1 pointr/amazonecho

I just use an Anker speaker. A friend recommended it, and it's been a great choice.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016XTADG2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_b0QrybS96GJR8

The battery lasts for a loooooong time. It is supposed to last for up to 24 hours on a full charge.

The sound is pretty good. I live in an apartment, so I don't need anything huge, and this one is more than enough for me to listen to in the living room and kitchen.

I have it connected to the WiiU with the USB cable, so it charges whenever I play, and I haven't had to touch it in weeks now.
Overall, I've been very happy with it, and would definitely recommend it.

But like mentioned, as far as i know, it needs to be wired to have more than one speaker at a time connected.

u/gingermilkshake · 1 pointr/pelotoncycle

I’ve been using this little Anker one- pretty small but still pumps out some decent volume!

Many people are commenting as if OP asked generally about radio and sources of music. I get that. Makes sense.

I listen to Dean and Rog in the mornings via Tune In via Alexa Dot, over a decent Anker Bluetooth speaker and/or my home stereo, but as soon as a commercial starts, I stop it.

I start my morning with, "Alexa, flash briefing." Then I get headlines from NPR, the weather from KPRC (Ch. 2), and local headlines from ABC-13. (I've configured the news brief via the Alexa app on my phone.)

When commercials play on The Eagle, I switch to NPR or to one of my Amazon music playlists or channels.

In the truck, I usually start with NPR, but I'll hop around through the classic rock radio stations and even some of the C & W. Or I'll play my music via the Google Play app.

u/iks-10 · 1 pointr/BudgetAudiophile

I have this one but it's a bit above your budget so check this one out, also made by anker

u/cmlaney · 1 pointr/amazonecho

No, the code is for the full size, gen 1 soundcore.

u/ericformansbasement · 1 pointr/BuyItForLife
u/raistlin65 · 1 pointr/BudgetAudiophile

Overall, it seems like you're really sidetracked here. You're not supposed to be listening to music. You just need it for background. A $25 Bluetooth speaker ought to do the job. I know that if I had had a good sounding speaker system there with me playing while I was trying to study for my preliminary exams, I wouldn't have gotten the work done. lol

Anker Soundcore

If you're afraid your phone will run out of juice, get a $20 power bank https://www.amazon.com/Portable-RAVPower-10000mAh-Ultra-Compact-Charging/dp/B075ZR745R/

u/TemptedTemplar · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

Anything with a 3.5mm jack. Attempting a bluetooth speaker in portable mode would make the whole thing, not-so-portable.

This anker speaker is pretty decent for the price, plus it can go for 24 hours of use on a single charge.

u/Harlson · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

I was going to say I could send you an Anker Soundcore for like twenty bucks but they're almost already at that price with coupon. I own a couple and they sound great Anker Soundcore

u/QuadFecta_ · 1 pointr/buildapc

Im looking for recommendations on some average wireless pc speakers. preferably small but I won't be too picky. Anyone have wireless speakers you would recommend?

I was thinking something like this Anker bluetooth speaker but idk if these work well with pc's.

u/Speedogomer · 1 pointr/BudgetAudiophile

Just buy this then.

I have one. It sucks, but it is about the only thing that will meet your criteria for under $50 Canadian.

u/Hrafnstrom · 1 pointr/AskTechnology

Thank you! I've considered Z120s as well as some other Logitech speakers, they do have good options. The problem is, I sometimes use my laptop away from my desk, like in my bed, that's when wirelessness comes in handy. Also, I might use it the my kitchen too from time to time. So, yes, I won't be using bluetooth features always but, in my case, it is a must.

And what do you think of Anker Soundcore or Cambridge Soundworks?

u/Pluntax · 1 pointr/Bluetooth_Speakers

Not sure where you got the advice format because it doesn't make much sense for a bluetooth speaker. but at this budget you might have more luck buying used. But , a Tribit XSound go on eBay is $27 with free shipping.

Other than that, under $20 there are the Anker Soundcore Speakers. The Soundcore Motion B is $20 flat right now. Also, the older original Soundcore is $24 at the moment.

u/1dirtypanda · 1 pointr/PrimeDay2016

A total of 7 separate orders. It was a bit annoying because I was mostly on my phone and the mobile apps/chrome wouldn't load properly. Also I would have preferred to bundle orders but oh well. or try to use more coupons but they only give you so many minutes in the cart and sometimes the next item that you're waiting for a deal to start is right outside that window.

u/Truth_SHIFT · 0 pointsr/AdviceAnimals

Most of the criticism that I’ve seen comes from people complaining that they can’t charge and listen to music at the same time. Here are some solutions for you:

Highly Rated Bluetooth Headphone for $26:

https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Headphones-Mpow-Cancelling-Sweatproof/dp/B015IEW1AY/

Highly Rated Bluetooth Speaker for $36:

https://www.amazon.com/Anker-SoundCore-Bluetooth-Dual-Driver-Distortion/dp/B016XTADG2/

Highly Rated Bluetooth Car Adapter for $30:

https://www.amazon.com/iClever-Bluetooth-Hands-Free-Multi-Point-Activation/dp/B00GJFGE0K/

If you can afford $650 for a new phone, you can probably afford an extra $30 to cut the cord. Unless you’re an audiophile, this is a total non-issue.
