As stated already, more calories in than out. But to add to this, I found this to be very helpful. Boost VHC, it has high calories and if mixed into a shake or even just adding milk essentially masks the taste. One or two of these a day and you should see results in no time.

You have to consume ~500 EXTRA calories per day to put on a pound per week, btw.
