So, I'll make my standard reco to anyone who asks. Start with silicone toys. Dildos and plugs.

  For your first dildo, don't go too big. 5-6" and no more than 1.5" (and probably thinner) is a good idea. The Tantus silk line is good as it has a range from quite small to fairly decent sized. Firmer silicone than I like, but it's probably a good start. Something you'll need to learn is what style of toy you like. Even among dildos there's a range of sizes (both girth and length), textures (smooth, veiny, ridged, etc.) and levels of realism. For myself, I like big and semi-realistic (hence I'm a fan of the Tantus Uncut #1 and the Vixen Outlaw). YMMV
  
  For buttplugs specifically, I like Boss Silicone Stopper series from Japan. No. 4 / No. 5 are what I'd classify as modest but not impossibly large (not for beginners, though). Numbers higher than that start to get crazy. I own the No. 4 and it's large enough that I know it's there, but it slips right in and stays put. It's definitely an option for long-term wear, if you learn to like that sort of thing. However, as a beginner, I'd recommend the Stopper I (if you can find it) or any of the smaller plugs from Tantus. (The Ryder plug is an old fave.)
  
  I like to use condoms on my toys to keep them cleaner (particularly ones that have little ridges and details). But if you're barebacking them, then you can use oils. Some people really like coconut oil and the old gay fisting standby is reportedly crisco.
  
  Partly because of the condom thing (and partly because silicone lubes are bad for most silicone toys), I prefer water based lubes. Lubricant wise, I like Wet Uranus (the blue version ; the red version is silicone). However, you'll probably have to mail order it.
  
  If you have to go to the local store, I like Astroglide Gel. However, Astroglide's probably not the best stuff long term. It's got a few funky chemicals in it that I'd prefer to avoid. (But, in a pinch, it works awesome.)

I don't use the word "should". Do what you want to do. It is up to you.

I do think wearing panties every day is a good practice for a sissy, and it feels slutty and like a sexy secret.

I wear thigh-high stockings beneath my pants, but only put on normal socks over the stocking foot so the stockings do not show between my pants legs and shoes. I love changing out colors of stockings. Knowing you have a sexy pair of red or white stockings on under your pants is a real turn on. Make sure you have a garter belt, though - never rely on the tops to stay up by themselves (remember to put on panties after the garter belt!). Or wear pantyhose.

The best plugs have fairly wide tops with long necks between the top and the base, so that they insert above the second sphincter muscles and are easier to keep in. You really need a radical drop between the top and the neck - the more of a difference between top and neck the better.

I use these, but you may need to work up to fitting these in you. Not "size queen" material (I consider these a very practical size), but dependable and comfortable for long term wear.
