I don't know if this answers your question because I'm not sure if you're looking for a specific answer or just anything, but there is an entire, long-running series of books about the philosophy of various pieces of pop culture. I never thought about that. I guess that social clubs were more popular back during my grandparents' days. I must be a bit of a rarity to have such a strong love for genealogy and history in my generation.

That book does look interesting, maybe I'll check it out after I'm done with this one - Breaking Bad and Philosophy.

I have 'Breaking Bad and Philosophy' a collection of essays. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but it looks promising. Published in 2010.
