any lcd cleaner will work as long as you use a microfiber cloth.

I think rubbing alcohol is a bad idea. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Better to get a specialized cleaner like this: https://www.amazon.com/Screen-Cleaner-Kit-Computer-Microfiber/dp/B0047E8DN6

For one, the hand-held Metro Vacuum ED500 is probably one of the best investments you can make. It has worked flawlessly for me for over 2 years.

As for cleaning LCDs my personal favorite has been this

Along with a nice set of microfiber cloths

Quick tip, if you're ever unsure whether your cloth will damage a screen or leave scratches, take it and find an old cd and try to rub the bottom of the CD as hard as you can. If you see more scratches then before, I would avoid using it, but if it comes out scratch-free then its safe to use.

  1. To buy some spray and a rag, such as this, if you do not already own them. You can spray a light amount on the keyboard just fine but don't go overboard.

  2. Dim the screen brightness when you need to save battery, or click on the battery and switch it to power-saver mode. You could probably google other tips and tricks as well.

  3. There are a number of ways. You could wipe the hard drive, google a fresh install and put it on a flash drive, and install the fresh version. Or use a website such as Decrap.org, pcdecrapifier.com, Ccleaner, or http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/ - google reviews of each.

  4. Honestly that's up to you. I would recomment using chrome as your browser. Maybe get a anti virus like Avast or Malwarebytes. People like F.Lux if they work at night (it changes the screen color at night to be easier on your eyes). I would recommend you get the chrome extensions for uBlock Origin (it's an adblock), and The Great Suspender. Also a password extension if you trust them, something like LastPass (that's the one I use), they encrypt and hold all of your passwords for you.

  5. No that is not normal at all to my knowledge. You shouldn't have used more than 50GB. I would have no idea why. Maybe you should wipe your hard drive and re-download windows 10. If you decide to, google videos.

  6. Uh, just don't be dumb. Rarely do I see power cords in bad condition.

  7. Maybe backup your hard drive every once in a while. Don't eat crumby food while you are using it or it will get in the keys. Make sure to not spill drinks on it as that will likely ruin it for good and your warranty is voided. You used to have to refragment your hard-drive, but laptops do that on their own now-a-days.

Is it possible the screen is damaged from incorrect cleaning? Using water and a microfiber towel should show some improvement, even if only a little. (If it does show a little improvement, keep doing it.)

I've used this before on old Mac laptop screens: https://www.amazon.com/Screen-Cleaner-Spray-Kit-Microfiber/dp/B0047E8DN6/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1487238727&sr=1-6&keywords=screen+cleaner
