Would child locks like these work for your cabinets? You just have to pull them open slightly, then push them down to open the rest of the way. They also make some you can “disarm” by moving a tab and keeps the lock “off” when you don’t need to keep the baby out of something.
We too have a kitchen where the openings to block off just weren’t going to work with a baby gate. We just put child locks on am the cabinets as well as the oven and let her have free roam.
