Nintendo 64-to-USB adapter

USB OTG adapter

I made an original post here with other emulators I've tried it with.

I use a Linksys USB network adapter, a USB OTG adapter and some CAT5e flat cable as a mobile network toolkit. It is fantastic.

I bought This two pack OTG adapter and stuck a 1ft usb cable on and bundled it up with a velcro loop. http://imgur.com/MKxD6p4

Unfortunately the Xbox One controller has no driver support in Android. when I connect my controller to my Nvidia Tablet, the controller shows up using a USB Device Info app, but does not function within Android. it does work with Moonlight Streaming because they have a specially built driver.

When I connect my controller to my Oneplus One on CM13, the controller fails to show up at all.

If you DO get it to work with your phone, I highly highly recommend tracking down a Nyko Smart Clip. It works with every version of the xbox controller, and it expands wide enough to hold 7in tablets. However it has been out of production for a couple years so prices are inflated. I was able to find one at my nearest Frys electronics for 10 bucks.

For emulation on my phone I use a MadCatz CTRLR, and for Nvidia streaming around the house I use my tablet mounted on my xbox elite controller:

Xbox and Tablet
Phone and Madcatz

Also note that the newest xbox controller has bluetooth built in. some people have had success with it, I did not at all. if you want to try it, buy from amazon or somehwere that takes returns

hadn't noticed that, guess I'll leave it removed then. Here's the desktop URL with no referral link for anyone who wants it:

Get an OTG usb adapter, they plug right into the micro USB port on your tablet, and you can plug in any usb device. You'd need a media importer app do use the OTG for a thumb drive, or any sort of data transfer, but if you plug a mouse right into the OTG and then into your tablet, a cursor should appear and you can navigate your tablet that way.

get a microUSB to USB adapter. I just got one and it is the most useful device I have ever had, you can plug in USB devices and use a lot of them (keyboard and flash drives are what I've used the most so far).

They are dirt cheap too. Just be careful because they can put quite a bit of torque on your phone's USB port if you let full sized USB devices hang down off of it.

I have both also. I use the tablet to watch anime or netflix in bed, and then bring it on vacations to try to game stream from home if the internet allows. I suggest picking up a mini hdmi > hdmi cable for it so that way you can hook it up to the TV. For instance, on my vacation this year, the internet there was garbage so i couldnt game stream. Luckily i brought my 4tb hdd loaded with movies and shows. I connected it to the tablet using an USB micro to USB adapter (something like this one), hooked up the hdd to it via usb, and then tablet to tv using hdmi mini > hdmi. Then i used the controller to control it and the ES File explorer to browse and select what movie to watch. The tablet was plenty capable for 1080p movies, and if charged will also last the full movie length (since theres only one usb port and we're using it for the external hdd, you cant charge it at the same time).

If i ever wanted to, i could also use the tablet to game stream to the living room or something (my main TV is literally a foot above my desktop so i just use that, but is still a valid use case for people with their desktops isolated from the TV and couch they want to relax on).

does it use micro USB as a charge port? you could try one of these and attach a usb mouse:

The bimmersoftware.com cable you have seems to be the only sure thing; it's the one I used. I used this 15amp charger with no problem when flashing my Z4 so your 25 amp one shouldn't have any problem. The OTG cables were these Cable Matters ones.

I totally understand how you feel; I freaked the hell out when the flash failed on mine and the car wouldn't start.

I am having an interesting issue. I just recently bought this cord in order to use a keyboard with my Tablet:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GM0OZ4O/

I connect my keyboard to it and everything works great. The only weird issue is that my tablet acts as if it is being charged while plugged into the keyboard. When I unplug it later, the battery percentage starts to drop a few percent per second almost as though trying to fix itself. It is not a major issue, but I was wondering if there was a way to have it not act as if it were being charged when I have another device connected.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 if it helps.

dunno where you got your OTG cable from, but I bought this https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GM0OZ4O/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it works perfectly

That's for a 2-pack.

There are cheaper ones but I got a cheap one from china and it said like 2 months for shipping so I said fuck that and got this one. 8 dollars but ships fast.

Something similar to this. Not sure what USB port type the elio has.

u/MattJGallardo · 1 pointr/LGG3

Yes, indeed as long as it does not need USB Debugging already turned on to function, this should be the least expensive option.

OTG functionality on Android has always been spotty at best, have not tested it since the Nexus 7 came out though, maybe its improved, or LG just did it better.

Found a video (test device is an S3 though) that shows it in action

Here is a highly reviewed cable on Amazon.

I can't get specifics for Singapore. But this is what you want

The 90 Degree angle in the micro USB side is very helpful at least this will give you an idea. Maybe check eBay for similar?

u/MisterMoosey · 1 pointr/photography

As long as you're on a Canon - DSLR Controller. I use it on my Tab Pro with a 5Dmk2 and 7D and it's great. You'll probably also need an OTG Cable and a USB to micro USB cable to connect your camera to your tablet.

u/The_Fannoisseur · 1 pointr/gamingsuggestions

You might also consider buying one of these to enhance your gaming experience. Or if you already have a usb controller, try this.

I'm sure you can find cheaper if price is the only concern, but:

I've used those both successfully. The Ethernet adapter may be overpriced, but it seems like reasonable build quality

Small devices use much less power over the long term (both computing and waste heat), and usually have much fewer moving parts (less to break over the long term). I use battery backups everywhere FWIW to keep from unnecessarily power-cycling devices unexpectedly with issues with input power...
