Electronic hearing protection.

So you should be able to hear the outside world, but will cut off loud noises.

A lot of people will recommend Howard Leight Sport electronic earmuffs. They run between $35-$50 (usually around $40-45). However, I also own these Caldwell ones and they work fine as well if you want a cheaper option.

I use these with a pair of foam plugs underneath and they work great. Shooting an AR15 with an MB556k at an indoor range is no louder than my 9mm outside with just plugs. For eyes though I had some Rx lenses made for my oakleys, I'm blind as a bat without 'em :p

I wear medium frame prescription eyeglasses (for nearsightedness). I bought a pair of the Uvex S3161 OTG Safety glasses in Yellow from Amazon. The lens quality is exceptional. There is very little bending of light to my prescription lens, so I can see without distortion through these. The frame has legs that adjust for vertical pitch as well as an inner wire that can be shaped within the leg. The lens also cover the portion above my eyeglasses preventing shell casings from falling onto my face; before, I would have to use a hat to prevent this from happening.

The legs of the glasses sit fairly close to the side of my head. They do not stick out FOR ME because they are adjustable for a tight fit.

I use a set of Caldwell E-Max low profile muffs and there is minimal sound leakage, but I think I'd like to try those Howard Leight Impacts. I too have heard very positive reviews.
