I don't trust the adhesive strip mounts, so I got these and screwed them in. Works great.
For about $10 you can get sturdy mounts that fit perfectly and you don't run the risk of the sensors suddenly dropping and breaking on you.

the mounts are standard camera mounts and you can them for next to nothing in the states from amazon. I bought these cheapos and they work great, i actually like them better than the ones that came with the lighthouse 2.0's. These were 11 dollars for 4.

I use really thin nails and it works fine. The holes are so small that spackle will work great, or toothpaste. There's no way you could find them without a microscope

I strongly suggest you get camera mounts like these ( https://www.amazon.com/Bracket-Outdoor-Security-Housing-Suvellicance/dp/B0776RVX64/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1543318104&sr=8-8&keywords=camera+mounts ) so you can mount the cameras high up pointing downward. Otherwise the desk will get in the way.
