iOttie mount from Amazon. It mounts from a suction cup on my dashboard.

Been using this one since the Note 2 came out, never had an issue with it also fits the Note 4 with a Spigen Tough Armor case.

I've tried a few, and this is my favorite:

iOttie Easy One Touch XL

Our other car has the newer version, but I don't like it quite as much.

u/playbeasy · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

I use an iOttie too and have had a couple different versions depending on my phone at the time. Currently I'm using this one. http://amzn.com/B007FH716W

The iOttie mounts are actually a little sticky on the suction cup. It's not a glue so there won't be any residue but once they're stuck it's not coming off easily. You can get it off though. It will also go right back on and have equal grip if you decide to move it. :)

I highly recommend it.

This is what I have, and it fits like a glove (no case on the phone).

I use this one. I have a normal/medium thickness case with a small credit card pocket stuck on the back. This dock holds it fine. They have 2 other versions on the same product page that will handle thicker phones that may work better for you.

Good luck!

I was looking at [this] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FH716W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) but I think the phone is only going to fit naked.

I love this mount very easy to install adjustable, you can swivel it horizontal for full screen. I have had mine for 2 years and it still going strong. The only thing, you need to find a good mounting place for it in your car, because once you install it stays on pretty good.

I've been using the iOttie Easy One Touch XL for the past couple of years. The suction cup is super strong and it has fit every phone I've put in it. Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 4, Nexus 5, and now my MXPE. I've been very happy with it,

I also have the iottie one touch (but the XL) for my s5. It works incredibly well.

I've had good luck with the iOttie brand on Amazon. Should be about 20 bucks. It uses a suction cup with a tacky surface. Never had it fall off even in the heat of the South.

I have the iOttie One Touch XL and love it. The super sticky suction cup is awesome, and getting my phone in and out of it is completely no fuss.

I used to have an iPhone 4S and had an Arkon friction mount for it, but I got fed up with it because the suction cup kept coming unstuck from the base in the middle of driving. I love the idea of a friction mount because then I can move it out of view very easily when it's not in use, so when I got the iOttie and saw how sticky the suction cup was, I put it on the Arkon base, and it works like a charm.

This dash mount is by far the most sturdiest, easy to use, and intuitive mount I've come across. I'm sure there are better ones out there but they're so cheap, I bought one for each of my family members.

I use an iOttie Easy One Touch XL. Very solid unit and hold the phone awesome, but with one draw back. The side grippers will squeeze the down volume so I had to cut a slit in the foam so it not apply pressure to the volume rocker. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FH716W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have the ottorbox commuter, it works great. Saved me a few times already I'm sure. You need a bigger car mount to hold it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FH716W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My old iOttie OneTouch XL works fine for me.

Here's some in-car video using my Galaxy S4 and this mount: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FH716W/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ignore that I should have done a good chunk of this run in 3rd instead of 2nd. ;)

What I like about the mount is that the suction cup has a mild adhesive on it that you can "recharge" by rinsing it off. The clamps hold my phone very well. Not sure I'd be willing to stick my phone outside the car but it holds it very tight inside.

The first mount I ever liked was the iOttie Easy One Touch XL:

When they came out with the iOttie HLCRIO132 Easy One Touch Wireless Qi Standard Car Mount Charger

I jumped at it, and haven't looked back since! I love not having to fiddle around with the cable every time I want to charge the phone.

Here are a few pics since you requested:

This is what I mean about the top surface above the screen, the cups from the Iotties fit perfectly:

iOttie XL

Just got one a few days ago. Fits the s5 perfectly, the suction cup is AWESOME, and its really easy to use with one hand. Oh and it just $20. Let me know how you like it. :)

EDIT:I'm looking to get an extra battery + wall charger for the battery kit on Samsung's website, but it is back ordered currently. I'm planning on using a 50% coupon so it will be around $25.

i have that case, and i use this holder:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FH716W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

JUST fits, holds the weight very well, and when you aren't using that particular case, it works fantastically with smaller cases (which i use quite a bit as well)

I use the iottie XL car mount with my Nexus 6p and it fits even with my Speck case on the phone. The suction cup sticks very well to my window.

I use the [iOttie One Touch 2] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JRGOKQ8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

the suction to the dash is great and it works very well, the only downside is that it does not fit the phone with my case on (otterbox commuter series). The otterbox is one of the bigger cases you if you have a slimer case it will probably be fine.

You may want to opt for the (XL version) [http://www.amazon.com/iOttie-Windshield-Dashboard-Holder-HLCRIO101/dp/B007FH716W/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1420830773&sr=1-1&keywords=iottie+note+4]

looks like it gives you an extra .1 inch.

iottie xl one touch suctinoed on the dash right befor the curve above the air vent. In my line of sight for torque, maps, music, etc but doesn't block any part of the road and no danger of it falling out the window if it falls off during a corner.

I love the iotttie one touch since it's so easy to put the phone in and out of, i find myself taking handing it passengers to change music or text for me instead of having them reach over. Also it's a very durable plastic and super sticky suction cup. No vibrations even on sucky RI roads.

I've heard good things about the cd mounts, but i still have to look down at it as if it were in the cupholder and i still use cd's every now and then.

I had the OPO (just shipped it back because of a dead pixel) and this mount worked great! It comes loose every once in a while if it gets super hot, but other than that it worked great! http://www.amazon.com/iOttie-Windshield-Dashboard-Holder-HLCRIO101/dp/B007FH716W/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1406935815&sr=8-2&keywords=car+mount+phone+galaxy+s5
