I have a gorilla usb drive. It is waterproof, dust proof, and crush proof. I back it up on my home computer about once a month. (I have a mac and I do my Time Machine once a month too.) I have one of these attached to my keys so I don't lose my flash drive. I never leave my flash drive in my classroom. (That and its part of my routine so I don't lose it.)

I got put on admin leave for a variety of reasons. (Mostly my aides weren't happy because I wouldn't let them have parties all the time and I actually expected them to work instead of giving the kids puzzles and allowing the aides to sit around and talk all day. I wish I was joking.) One was my principal told me to do something and I got accused of it. My principal didn't own up to it and even my union rep knew about it. I checked my email because I knew there were emails, but the emails were no longer there. I don't know how that worked. I also got accused of things that happened during behavior emergencies. I saw the reports and it wasn't what I had written (I know my writing style for reports). My aides (well all but 2) accused me of not telling them things or telling them things I never told them to do. So now I type up all the stuff I want to tell my aides and have them sign it saying they read it and I keep copies of it. So I have a paper saying, "Well I did tell you to do it I have your signature saying you read it" or "I never told you to do that. All my instructions are written down and its on none of my papers". I also post information on how to deal with behaviors or work with students from various websites and have them sign it, so I know they are on the same page as me. So they can't come back and say, "Well you never told me how you wanted me to do that."

Yeah paranoia is earned in my case. I got screwed hard by my aides and my principal. I watch my ass.

If the Inspire is anything like the Fitbit One, you can buy a keychain to hold it as well. I use this with the Fitbit one:
