Be careful with that particular model. The metal screws on the bezel aren't actually screws, they're just pinned in there and serve no purposes. They are prone to fall out if you bang the watch around enough. in fact, I tried a brand new one on in the store and the one I tried on the screws already feel like they aren't attached on very good, and could fall out (a little wobble when you put my finger on it).
I have this military green version and it works perfect. I have 3 negative screen Gshocks and while they look cool the visibility is poor.
It also depends on your region as well, but I haven't had a successful sync on my Multiband 6 capable g shock either.
I would recommend a Casio G7900. Costs about $80 to $100, depending on what color your choose. The case is thick, but thanks to the 2 wings under the strap, it holds onto your wrist really well. I have pencil wrists and it sits comfortably without any issues. Has a countdown timer, 2 stop watches, an large digital display and the buttons are large enough to be pressed while wearing gloves.
