Hey nice looking watch man! All I know is that it uses a Japanese Miyota quartz movement, a common quartz movement in today's watches. Nixon is mostly associated with skaters. surfers, snowboarders, and other street sports of similar kind. As others have said though, they do not get much love around /r/Watches because they are considered a fashion brand. My first watch was a Nixon Timeteller years ago. It was good, then I lost it. Then I found it again recently.

Watch collecting can be as expensive or as cheap as you want it to be. If you lurk around this sub for a while you'll see lots of different styles in all different price ranges. I love watches, but at the point in my life that I'm at right now (that being a broke college kid), I promised myself to stay in the sub $200 range for the time being. Edit I always forget to mention the Vostok Amphibia. It's a Russian dive watch, built like a tank, and there are many bezel/dial combos. Found on Ebay for about $70.

Okay I'll do my best to help you even though I don't know as much about digital watches as I do mechanicals. My first suggestion would be the Casio F-91W because who cares what others think; if you like the watch keep wearing it! All jokes aside here's another Casio A-158WA-1. I think the A158 ticks all the same boxes as the F-91W except it looks a little more classy than the black plastic resin. Another alternative to that one would be the Casio F-91WM-7ACF this obviously is another F-91W just in a different color scheme. If you'd like a little calculator action how about a fancy Casio EAW-DBC-611-1DF Data Bank.

All suggestions I've given have all been less than 10 mm's in thickness. From all the looking I've done it really doesn't seem that you can get a digital watch that's less than 10 mm's thick that's not a Casio F-91W clone of some kind haha. Hope some of these suggestions could help.

I had a full stainless steel Citizen back in the early 1980s. Nice watch.

There is only two colorways of that particular watch, the silver and the gold. The silver is not chrome, it's sort of a semi-gloss plated plastic made to resemble metal. The bracelet is steel though and isn't a hair puller. They did get the name wrong but that's Amazon for you. This is the exact same watch with more real to life pictures on the listing and a cheaper price.
