Champions got crunchier on newer editions. Get an used first edition or second edition and go crazy.

GURPS Supers is also really easy to run. Don't run with advanced but only basic combat and it should be fast.

EDIT: also, who cares if there's no new edition and the old one is good? If anything you will get a book and system that aged well!
